Description
This is LEVEL 1 – UNIT 3 – Lesson 5 in our NoPrep Online ESL Curriculum. The lessons in LEVEL 1 are intended for young, beginner-level learners with basic but limited knowledge of English.
The lesson includes 30 pages in total, focusing on the letter Ii (igloo, iguana, pig, wig). Students learn big & small Ii and practice saying the short /i/ sound through various questions and answers (What does short “i” say? / What is it? / It’s an igloo. / What are they? / They’re igloos. / It’s a little pig! / They’re big pigs!).
There is also a homework assignment at the end of the lesson to reinforce the concepts taught.
It is intended for a 25-minute class period, though it can easily be adapted for shorter/longer class times.
